Nos últimos anos, a participação de fontes renováveis variáveis de energia na matriz energética brasileira vem crescendo, com destaque para a geração eólica. Essa fonte de energia depende do vento para produzir energia elétrica e essa característica traz impactos ao sistema de potência. A natureza intermitente da geração eólica requer atenção dos agentes do sistema elétrico, para manter o equilíbrio entre geração e carga, apesar da imprevisibilidade. Esse trabalho apresenta os conceitos teóricos de estabilidade e geração eólica, bem como características do sistema elétrico brasileiro. E tem por objetivo analisar os efeitos que a redução instantânea da potência ativa proveniente de parques eólicos da região Nordeste causam no sistema elétrico.

In recent years, the share of variable renewable energy sources in the Brazilian energy matrix has been growing, especially wind power. This energy source depends on the wind to produce electrical energy and this characteristic impacts the power system. The intermittent nature of wind power requires attention from the agents of the electrical system, to maintain the balance between generation and load, despite the unpredictability. This work presents the theoretical concepts of stability and wind power, as well as characteristics of the Brazilian electrical system. And it intends to analyze the effects that the instantaneous reduction of active power generated by wind farms in the Brazilian Northeast region causes on the electrical system.
