Abstract in English
Information and Communication Technologies (TIC's) are present in most of the scholar environment. However, in order to bring good results and better quality in the teaching/learning process these technologies must be planned and projected appropriately. These new technologies are beginning to be explored in Children Education, but only a few of the existing tools for these target users can be adapted to school curriculum and subjects explored by this age range. To achieve good results, it is important to develop and distribute tools that stimulate children's creativity and allow them to show their ideas, supporting their discoveries and exploring subjects that correspond to their age range and that are studied in their schools. This research proposes a 3D manipulation and authoring environment that allows the learner to be creative and express his ideas, supporting new discoveries and adapt to their curriculum subjects. These systems attempts to lead children to express their thoughts and imagination in an artistic and fun way, making the learning process a lot more interesting. To evaluate the applicability of their proposal, we implemented the LEGAL tool. Several tests with this environment indicated that it has a great potential to be used in school, contributing with the learning process, allowing children to explore their creativity and imagination.
