As novas tecnologias, principalmente as chamadas tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TICs) provocaram grandes mudanças na sociedade nesta última década. A grande importância destas tecnologias motivou a sua introdução nas escolas, com o propósito de melhorar a qualidade na educação. Uma outra mudança decorrente das TICs e que contribuiu para a popularização dos meios informáticos foi o surgimento da Teia Mundial (World Wide Web - WWW), que, a partir da criação de navegadores, ofereceu o acesso a informações com um simples clique. A Teia Mundial (WWW) se tornou a face mais visível da Internet, oferecendo o acesso à informação. Embora a Teia Mundial se mostre uma fonte inesgotável de informação, existe nela a característica de fonte duvidosa sendo necessário saber separar o joio do trigo. Além disso, o custo elevado, o inglês como idioma predominante, a diferença entre plataformas, o tempo limitado de acesso e a inadequação da maioria das aplicações para o propósito educacional, são alguns dos fatores que ainda dificultam o sucesso dessas tecnologias nas escolas, principalmente no que se refere a aplicações que estimulem a criatividade. Este trabalho apresenta o sistema FACIL, um sistema de autoria independente de plataforma, de acesso livre, para criação de documentos hipermidiáticos por usuários leigos. O sistema é voltado para alunos, professores e toda a comunidade escolar, auxilia na produção da informação e incentivando a autoria e publicação na Internet, para a socialização do conhecimento. As várias tecnologias como computadores, Internet, TV Digital e os terminais de acesso (Set-Top Boxes Digitas) acoplados a televisores permitirão o uso deste sistema por usuários autores que poderão criar bancos de informações, documentar projetos e produzir informações que serão socializadas a partir de suas publicações na Teia Mundial

New technologies, mostly called as information and communication technologies, produced big changes in the society during the last decade. These technologies' principal importance motivated their introduction in the schools to achieve a better education quality. Information and communication technologies triggered a major change in its popularization by the creation of the Word Wide Web (WWW) and Web browsers, which allow access to information with a simple mouse click. The Web (WWW) has become that most visible aspect of the Internet, allowing access to a great variety of information. Although the Web seems like an inexhaustible source of information, nevertheless doubtful sources require the distinction between trustworthy and non-trustworthy information. The high cost, the language, the difference between platforms, the limited time of access and the inadequacy of many of these applications to the educational purpose represent some of the factors that complicated the success of the technologies' introduction in the schools, mainly in what concerns creativity motivation. This work introduces the FACIL system, a free-access authorship multiplataform system that allows the creation of hypermedia documents by non-specialist users. The system target users are students, teachers and the whole school community, it will support the production of digital information and will encourage the publication of such documents elaborated by the community, thus creatingknowledge socialization of the community knowledge. Different technologies connected to the Internet such as computers, Digital TV and Set-top-boxes (connected to television sets) will allow the use of this system by non-specialist users who will be able to create information bases, document projects and produce information that will be socialized on the WWW.
