Este trabalho de pesquisa consiste na elaboração de um modelo de tratamento de incertezas para um sistema baseado em conhecimento para auxiliar o Zoológico de São Paulo no processo de recebimento de animais. Para a elaboração do modelo, foi necessário o estabelecimento de um método formal de aquisição do conhecimento, baseado em entrevistas não-estruturadas, entrevistas estruturadas e acompanhamento de casos. O conhecimento do especialista foi modelado na forma de variáveis lingüísticas e regras nebulosas. Casos reais foram utilizados para o teste do modelo, produzindo resultados satisfatórios. O trabalho apresenta, ainda, uma análise do modelo proposto, sugerindo melhorias, e propõe novas pesquisas correlatas.

This research work consists on the elaboration of a model to deal with uncertainty to be used in a knowledge-based system to assist the Zoo of São Paulo in the process of animals receiving. It was necessary the establishment of a formal method of knowledge acquisition for the model elaboration based on not-structuralized interviews, structuralized interviews and accompaniment of cases. The expert knowledge was modeled as linguistic parameters and fuzzy rules. The model was tested by the use of real data, yielding satisfactory results. The work still presents the proposed model analysis, recommending benefits and presents new related researches.
