Num sistema político típico, os indivíduos de uma sociedade devem escolher representantes políticos cujo papel é administrar o bem público, decidindo de que forma os recursos devem ser distribuídos à população. Na disputa pelo poder, líderes políticos tentam angariar apoio da população através de campanhas que podem ser financiadas por coalizões formadas por indivíduos que tenham algum interesse em fortalecer determinado líder. O objetivo deste trabalho é propor um modelo simplificado de tal sistema para avaliar a dinâmica de formação dessas coalizões, inspirado no Public Goods Game. Em particular, deseja-se entender qual o impacto de contribuições e de estratégias de distribuição de recursos na quantidade, tamanho e estabilidade de tais coalizões. Para tal, foi utilizada uma abordagem de simulação baseada em agentes, na qual foram consideradas três diferentes estratégias de líderes (altruísta, intermediária e egoísta) e três diferentes perfis de perseverança de indivíduos (paciente, intermediário e impaciente). Os resultados obtidos nos experimentos, cuja implementação foi feita no ambiente Repast Simphony, indicaram que líderes egoístas estimulam a formação de grandes coalizões e promovem maior heterogeneidade da distribuição de recursos, enquanto os altruístas levam à formação de coalizões pequenas e instáveis, melhorando o desempenho coletivo. Por outro lado, indivíduos impacientes promovem um ambiente de intensa competição por recursos, onde coalizões de médio porte tornam-se dominantes e seus membros acabam por concentrar enormes quantidades de recursos.

In a typical political system, individuals in a society should choose political representatives whose role is to manage the public good, deciding how resources should be distributed to the population. In the power struggle, political leaders try to garner support from the population through campaigns that can be funded by coalitions of individuals who have some interest in favoring a particular leader. The goal of this work is to propose a simplified model of such a system in order to evaluate the dynamics of these coalitions, inspired by the Public Goods Game. In particular, we aim to understand the impact of contributions and resource distribution strategies on the quantity, size and stability of such coalitions. For this, we used an agent-based simulation approach considering three different leader strategies (altruistic, intermediate and egoistic) and three different perseverance profiles of individuals (patient, intermediate and impatient).The results obtained in our experiments, which were implemented on the Repast Simphony framework, indicate that egoistic leaders stimulate the formation of large coalitions and promote a more heterogeneous distribution of resources, while altruistic ones lead to the formation of small and unstable coalitions, improving collective performance. On the other hand, impatient individuals foster an environment of intense competition for resources, where midsize coalitions become dominant and their members end up concentrating huge amounts of resources.
