Os coworking spaces (CWS) são apresentados como pilares sustentáveis para o desenvolvimento do ecossistema urbano e empreendedor, oferecendo ampla variedade de serviços físicos e virtuais, permitindo apoiar o processo de desenvolvimento das startups. Enquanto fenômeno recente, ainda existem lacunas na literatura sobre como as startups podem cocriar valor nos serviços oferecidos nos CWS, especialmente considerando os diferentes estágios da sua evolução. No entanto, durante o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa, diferentes ações políticas, sociais e econômicas derivadas da pandemia gerada pela COVID-19 afetaram os CWS. Como consequência, os CWS experimentaram transformações digitais, evidenciando sua capacidade de adaptação e criação de maneiras inovadoras capazes de reajustar seus modelos de negócios. Este estudo teve como objetivo i) estabelecer referenciais teóricos sobre cocriação de valor em startups e CWS por meio de experimentação dos serviços ii) identificar e mapear os serviços oferecidos no CWS antes e depois da pandemia de COVID-19; ii) compreender a transformação dos serviços oferecidos no CWS e as necessidades das startups; iv) avaliar o grau de relevância dos serviços dos CWS para startups de acordo com o estágio de desenvolvimento; Para tanto, foi realizada revisão sistemática da literatura (RSL) e pesquisa de campo. A RSL foi realizada a partir das bases de dados Scopus e Web of Science, considerando 87 publicações. Por sua vez, a pesquisa de campo incluiu 12 entrevistas, aplicação de 130 questionários e pesquisa netnográfica em seis CWS. Como resultados, primeiramente, foram estabelecidas seis categorias de serviços: Infraestrutura física, infraestrutura digital, comunidade, networking, aceleração e projetos, contemplando um total de 36 serviços. Em segundo lugar, com base nos resultados obtidos com a aplicação dos questionários, foram identificados os serviços CWS relevantes de acordo com o estágio de desenvolvimento da startup. Por último, foi descrito como ocorrem as complexas interações de redes, recursos e troca de serviços entre as startups, o CWS e o ecossistema empreendedor no processo de cocriação de valor. Como conclusão, esta pesquisa apresenta referencial teórico capaz de orientar gestores de CWS na criação de novos serviços a partir do mapeamento das necesidades dos empreendedores de acordo com cada estágio de desenvolvimento.

Coworking spaces (CWS) are presented as sustainable pillars for the development of the urban and entrepreneurial ecosystem, offering a wide variety of physical and virtual services, allowing to support the development process of startups. As a recent phenomenon, there are still gaps in the literature on how startups can co-create value at the CWS services, especially when considering the different stages of their evolution. While developing this research, the COVID-19 generated political, social, and economic actions that impacted CWS routines. As a consequence, CWS have experienced digital transformations, evidencing its ability to adapt and create innovative services to support the creation of new business models. This study aimed to i) identify and map the services offered in the CWS before and after the COVID-19 pandemic ii) to understand the transformation of services offered in CWS and the evolution of startups needs s iii) to evaluate the degree of relevance of CWS services for startups according to the stage of development iv) to establish theoretical referential on value co-creation in startups and CWS considering service experimentation. A systematic literature review and field research were performed from Scopus and Web of Science databases, resulting in the analysis of 87 publications. Field research included 12 interviews,130 surveys, and netnographic research conducted in in six case studies. As results, first, the research identified six service categories: physical Infrastructure, digital infrastructure, community, networking, acceleration, and projects which include a total of 37 services. Second, based on the results of a survey, relevant CWS services were identified considering the startup stage of development. Afterward, engagement, monitoring internal relationships, quality indicators were factors identified as a gap that hinders CWS to improve. Lastly, the role of the complex network interactions, resources, and exchange services of the startups, CWS and entrepreneurial ecosystem generated the value co-creation process. In conclusion, this research establishes a theoretical framework capable of guiding CWS managers and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the creation of new services from the implementation of CWS services for the entrepreneurial ecosystem, services for CWS management, and CWS services for the different development stages of startups.
