O presente trabalho trata de certos aspectos importantes que necessitam ser abordados durante a fase de ante-projeto mecânico de um robô com 6 graus de liberdade rotacionais (6R). São apresentados os problemas básicos ligados à definição topológica e geométrica, cálculo e análise estrutural e análise do comportamento dinâmico do sistema. Mostra-se ainda que, através da análise desses problemas e o emprego de modelos matemáticos e critérios de projeto adequados, é possível a elaboração de um procedimento sistemático de ante-projeto mecânico de um robô 6R. Para finalizar, apresenta-se o projeto mecânico de um protótipo de robô industrial construído na Universidade de São Paulo, pondo-se em destaque as suas características mecânicas mais importantes.

This work deals with certain important aspects wich should be evaluated during the mechanical design of a articulated robot with 6 rotational degrees of freedon (6R). The most important problems related to the topological and geometrical definition, as well as the structural analysis and the description of the dynamical behavior of the system are introduced. It is proposed to solve the problem of synthesizing a 6R robot using a procedure based on the analysis of the problems above mencioned. Finally, it is presented the mechanical design of the 6R robot built in the University of São Paulo, whose development was basis to the generation of this work.
