O presente trabalho expõe informações que resultam dos trabalhos de pesquisadores, comunidades acadêmicas e empresas, referentes à tecnologia da rede mundial de computadores aplicada a Sistemas de Controle e Automação Industrial. Para verificação destas informações, foi realizado um ensaio com sistema de supervisão e controle à distância de uma barra instrumentada por extensômetros, utilizando um sistema composto de Controlador Lógico Programável (CLP) com módulos de entradas/saídas, módulo servidor e condicionadores de sinais que monitoram e controlam as deformações na barra instrumentada. As deformações foram provocadas por um motor elétrico. Foi observado o princípio de funcionamento, as principais características desta tecnologia, as áreas de conhecimento envolvidas pela mesma e como esta pode ser aplicada na supervisão e controle de um sistema controlado. Utilizou-se neste trabalho um CLP com servidor da organização mundial de computadores, o qual permitiu o levantamento das características de resposta, conexão e segurança do sistema; assim como sua aplicabilidade na Engenharia Oceânica.

Abstract in English
The present work exposes information that result of the researchers' works, academic communities and companies, referring to the technology of the world net of computers applied to Systems of Control and Industrial Automation. For verification of these information, a rehearsal was accomplished with supervision system and control at the distance of a bar scored by straing gages, using a system composed of Programmable Logical Controller (PLC) with Input/Output modules, module server and conditioning of signs that monitor and they control the deformations in the scored bar. The deformations were provoked by an electric motor. The principle's operation was observed, the principal characteristics of this technology, the knowledge areas involved by the same and as this it can be applied in the supervision and control of a controlled system. It was used in this work a PLC with server of the world organization of computers, which allowed the rising of the answer characteristics, connection and safety of the system; as well as your applicability in the Oceanic Engineering.
