Este trabalho foi desenvolvido para a avaliação da pintura de casco de navio de aço. Para esta pesquisa foram utilizadas chapas de aço pintadas com tintas encontradas no mercado brasileiro e japonês expostas ao meio ambiente atmosférico marinho. Para mensuração do nível de corrosão foi utilizado o método de processamento de imagem. Todos os resultados e a metodologia utilizada poderão ser úteis para serem utilizados em programas de manutenção de navios.

Abstract in English
This presents a evaluation methodology for shiphull painted steel plates. For this research Japanese and Brazilian painted exposed to a marine environment. To measure the level of corrosion, a method of image processing was applied. All the results, as well as the methodology for this evaluation, can be used for maintenance of ship.
