Title in Portuguese
Nova metodologia de análise de indicadores operacionais do planejamento de lavra de curto prazo.
Keywords in Portuguese
Eficiência global dos equipamentos
Equipamentos de mineração
Gargalo operacional
Indicadores chaves de desempenho
Planejamento de curto prazo

Abstract in English
The operation performance indicators, responsible for bringing information from the day to day of mining, are important tools that help in the operational decision making of mining planning. However, these indicators are not always established considering the operational history of the equipment, making the analysis superficial, and causing an inadequate operational decision. Therefore, the objective of this study was to propose a new indicator that will serve as a methodology for analyzing the mining performance indicators, in order to assist in making operational decisions by the shortterm planning team and provide an increase in the adherence of mining. To achieve this purpose, data mining and machine learning techniques were applied, using the random forest algorithm in an operational historical of the equipment. Resulting in a new indicator, called Mining Equipment Performance Indicator (MEPI). The proposed methodology was applied to a set of operational data from the Sossego mine, located in northern Brazil, where the objective was to analyze the operational performance of the loading fleet, which had 6 excavators. The results indicated that excavator 1 showed low operational efficacy (59%) and that the bottleneck is in the physical utilization of the equipment (long shift change times, long moves or unscheduled hours). The other excavators (2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) presented effectiveness between 61 and 69%, a result considered satisfactory for the proposed methodology. In the comparative analysis between the Overall Equipment Effectiveness indicator (OEE) and the MEPI, a difference in the excavators' effectiveness classification of more than 83% was obtained. In addition, the MEPI proved to be an important resource for evaluating the operational effectiveness of excavators, as well as for detecting operational bottlenecks.
