Abstract in English
Adding new properties to well-known materials, combining them with new materials, has become quite recurrent in recent years, especially due to the advancement of nanotechnology. Among the most studied recent materials are those derived from graphite, such as graphene and graphene oxide. In order to study the functionalization of a glass surface, giving the deposited film-glass system new properties, graphene oxide films were deposited on the surface of commercial sodalime type flat glass plates. The method used to obtain graphene oxide was the modified Hummers. For film deposition, the drip and dip-coating methods were used. The samples obtained were analyzed through the techniques of SEM (with EDS coupled), DRX, FTIR, Raman, UV/VIS spectroscopy and, through the sessile drop method, the new surfaces had their surface energies determined. The results obtained so far demonstrate that it is possible to modify the properties of commercial flat glass plates through the deposition of graphene oxide films.
