Manufatura

Abstract in English
Integration of manufacturing systems has been a subject of several researches and investigations. One way to achieve such integration is to develop a proper information system to manage the information and data Exchange between subsystems in a factory. The complexity of the factory and its subsystems suggests the employment of a methodology that can property model this Exchange of information, as well as define the policy of controlling these exchanges. Mark Flow Graph, a technique derived from Petri nets, and Production Flow Schema have defined a methodology called MFG/PFS, which has demonstrated to be a effficient tool to model and specify the control of production systems. The purpose of this research is to investigate the modelling and specification of information systems by using a methodology based in MFG/PFS. Appropriate models for information systems are constructed, based on operational features of production systems. The analysis of the models i salso considered, incluiding topics related to validation and quantitative analysis. The research provides also three examples of information systems applied in three levels of abstraction in the factory.
