Abstract in English
The effect of oil over the nucleate boiling heat transfer of refrigerant-oil mixtures is the main concern of this work. The experimental set up consisted of a stainless steel tank where the cylincrical heating surface made out of brass was inserted. The measurement of the heat flux and the temperature of the heater surface and that of the bath allowed us to raise the Bolling Curve for refrigerant 11, 113, qnd 114 either purê or mixed with several concentrations of oil ( 1 to 20% on the mass basis). The obtained results have displayed a trend toward diminishing the heat transfer coefficient with the oil concentration. The experimental results have been fairly well correlated by models such as those by Rohsenow and Mikic/Rohsenow, with adapted coefficients. A hystheresis effect hás been observed in the boiling curve. Arguments have been developed in this work to correlate results affected by the aforementioned hystheresis. Finally, based on the combined effects of liquid agitation promoted by the departing bubble, and the cooling effect promoted by the rushing of cold liquid toward the heating surface a model has been proposed based on the superposition of those effects. The model correlates very well the experimental results up to 7% of oil concentration.
