Geradores de vapor operam em pressões superiores a atmosférica, de modo tal que, caracterizam-se riscos de explosões quando se encerra a vida útil de componentes críticos. No presente trabalho são analisados mecanismos causadores desses riscos e estratégias tecnológicas para sua avaliação. Uma proposta final e formulada, objetivando desenvolverem-se instrumentos que tornem mais poderosos os atuais métodos de controle de deformações e fraturas por fluência.

Vapor generators operate in ranges of pressures higher than the atmospheric in such a way that explosion risks become presente when the critical componentes useful life finishes. This issue analyzes causing mechanisms of these risks and the correspondente assessment technologics strategies.
