Neste trabalho apresentam-se o desenvolvimento da seqüência, modelos e procedimentos que possibilitam o projeto básico de um equipamento de manuseio e transporte de cargas - Ponte Rolante - aplicação não-siderúrgica. Aborda-se mais especificamente o modelo para determinação dos componentes principais, bem como uma sugestão para verificação mecânica e estrutural destes componentes. A partir deste modelo, desenvolveu-se uma seqüência objetiva do ponto de vista de engenharia para a configuração do equipamento. No Apêndice B é apresentado o desenvolvimento do projeto básico de um dos subconjuntos de uma Ponte Rolante.

In this work is being presented the development and procedures that enable the basic design of an Electric Overhead Traveling Crane. In particular are showed models for main parts specification and suggestions for performing mechanical and structural analysis. Based on this model, an objective formulation of the project engineering point of view is used for choosing the configuration of basic design. In appendix B is showed the development of a subassembly for an Electric Overhead Traveling Crane.
