Este trabalho objetiva projetar, implantar e testar um circuito para análise da transferência de calor e perda de carga em evaporadores de fluidos refrigerantes para condicionamento de ar constituídos por tubos aletados. Com este circuito poderão ser estudados os efeitos, sobre o processo de transferência de calor e massa e a perda de carga que ocorrem no lado do ar, originados pelo emprego de novas geometrias de aletas, ranhuras e seção transversal. Possibilitará também a realização de estudos sobre o processo de transferência de calor que ocorre no lado do refrigerante envolvendo diferentes condições operacionais (vazão mássica, título e temperatura de evaporação) e utilizando diferentes tipos de fluidos refrigerantes.

In this research project an experimental apparatus for testing evaporators of residential air conditioning systems was designed, built and tested. In this test rig it is possible to determine the overall heat tranfer coeficiente, pressure loss (o fair and refrigerante sides) and refrigerating capacity as function of diferente operating conditions (air flow rate, refrigerant flow rate, evaporating temperature, quality at the evaporater inlet). This test rig can be utilized to characterize the performance of evaporators of room conditioners employing diferente types of refrigerante fluids and heat enhancement surfaces.
