Esta tese propõe um estudo analítico sobre a produção científica publicada nos anais do Grupo de Trabalho em Comunicação e Saúde da Associação Brasileira de Saúde Coletiva (ABRASCO) do ano de 2018. O estudo parte da Teoria dos Sistemas Sociais, preconizada por Niklas Luhmann, perpassa na noção de autopoiese desenvolvida originalmente por Humberto Maturana e Francisco Varela, posteriormente ampliada por Niklas Luhamann, e busca compreender como a interface Comunicação e Saúde constitui um sistema social autopoiético, operacionalmente fechado e cognitivamente aberto. O corpus da pesquisa foi delimitado por um total de 87 trabalhos situados na interface Comunicação e Saúde. A partir do recorte, a análise seguiu por meio de 10 matrizes criadas para análise dos trabalhos. As matrizes foram constituídas ancoradas no referencial teórico a partir da Comunicação e Saúde Coletiva. O estudo concluiu que a interface se constitui uma ponte que caracteriza o sistema social cognitivamente aberto, embora operacionalmente fechado.

This thesis proposes an analytical study on the scientific production published in the annals of the Working Group on Communication and Health of the Brazilian Association of Collective Health (ABRASCO) in the year 2018. The study starts from the Theory of Social Systems, advocated by Niklas Luhmann, permeates on the notion of autopoiesis originally developed by Humberto Maturana and Francisco Varela, later expanded by Niklas Luhamann, and seeks to understand how the Communication and Health interface constitutes an autopoietic social system, operationally closed and cognitively open. The research corpus was delimited by a total of 87 works located in the Communication and Health interface. From the clipping, the analysis followed through 10 matrices created to analyze the works. The matrices were established anchored in the theoretical framework from Communication and Collective Health. The study concluded that the interface constitutes a bridge that characterizes the cognitively open, although operationally closed, social system.
