Vivemos em um momento em que crise parece funcionar como uma palavra relevante para descrever a contemporaneidade, especialmente se olharmos para os últimos dois anos com a pandemia do COVID-19. Diferentemente de outros momentos históricos, a crise atual, assim como os sujeitos de hoje, são atravessados por tudo que se insere na cultura digital. Neste trabalho, buscamos examinar o nosso tempo presente a partir da concepção de que somos hiperconectados, tratando a hiperconexão como o próprio objeto dessa pesquisa. Se mais da metade do globo terrestre está conectada à internet por meio de dispositivos de comunicação digital, especialmente pelas telas desses dispositivos, podemos dizer que nosso tempo é regido por um regime de hiperconexão, uma vez que muitas de basicamente todas as nossas práticas sociais e culturais estão interligadas e impactadas pelas mídias digitais. A pesquisa se pauta na construção de um arcabouço teórico e crítico a partir da obra do filósofo sul-coreano Byung-Chul Han publicada no Brasil entre os anos de 2017 e 2022, assim como possíveis atravessamentos de outras publicações contemporâneas por meio de revisão bibliográfica. Como resultado, foram sistematizadas três frentes para caracterizar esse regime da hiperconexão: primeiramente, foi observada a sua sustentação nas imagens, sobretudo nas imagens técnicas e nas dinâmicas de circulação que estas ganharam ao longo da evolução da sociedade; em segundo, como a configuração social hoje se pauta a partir da ideia neoliberal de desempenho, prática essa em que o sujeito se vê como empresário de si mesmo, fato que se amplia nas mídias digitais, a partir da desmediatização, em que todos somos produtores e consumidores de conteúdos e informações no digital, mergulhados em uma lógica cultural de consumo capaz de alterar até mesmo os modos de percepção da temporalidade, originando uma aceleração social do tempo; por fim, notamos o atual estágio das comunicações como sob uma forma de organização chamada de psicopolítica, que é sustentada pelo emprego de algoritmos e big data para modulação de usuários nas plataformas digitais. Assim, este trabalho busca respostas para o questionamento central de como conceber, de modo crítico, uma cultura digital que possa configurar um cenário futuro mais democrático e igualitário, em que a subjetividade humana seja respeitada.

We live in a time when crisis seems to work as a relevant word to describe contemporaneity, especially if we look at the last two years with the COVID-19 pandemic. Unlike other historical moments, the current crisis, as well as the subjects of today, are crossed by everything that is part of digital culture. In this work, we seek to examine our present time from the point of view that we are hyperconnected, treating hyperconnection as the very object of this research. If more than half of the globe is connected to the internet through digital communication devices, especially through the screens of these devices, we can say that our time is governed by a regime of hyperconnection, since many of basically all our social and cultural activities are interconnected and impacted by digital media. The research is based on the construction of a theoretical and critical framework from the work of the South Korean philosopher Byung-Chul Han published in Brazil between 2017 and 2022, as well as possible crossings of other contemporary publications through bibliographic review. As a result, three fronts were systematized to characterize this regime of hyperconnection: first, its support was observed in the images, especially in the technical images and in the dynamics of circulation that they gained throughout the evolution of society; second, how the social configuration today is guided by the neoliberal idea of performance, a practice in which the subject sees itself as an self-entrepreneur, a fact that is expanded in digital media, by the demediatization, in which we are all producers and consumers of digital content and information, immersed in a cultural logic of consumption capable of changing even the modes of perception of temporality, giving rise to a social acceleration of time; finally, we note the current stage of communications as under a form of organization called psychopolitics, which is supported by the use of algorithms and big data for modulation of users on digital platforms. Thus, this work seeks answers to the central question of how to critically conceive a digital culture that can configure a more democratic and egalitarian future scenario, in which human subjectivity is respected.
