narrar entre nós

Abstract in English
This research aims to understand what emerges when refugee women and immigrants engage in the act of narrating among themselves. Subsequently, I seek to comprehend how narratives can serve as a pathway for the sociocultural interaction of this group within the host country in this case, Brazil. The act of narrating among ourselves, experienced through methodologies such as Conversation Circles and Life Stories, places refugee women and immigrants in communion and in a posture of attentive listening regarding the diversity of displacement experiences and how, in many instances, their life stories intersect, generating processes of identification. The ultimate goal of this study is to encourage women in displacement to recognize themselves as protagonists of their own lives and, thus, to feel better integrated into the host country. To achieve this, we draw primarily on the knowledge of Ecléa Bosi, Livia Simão, Cremilda Medina, Julieta Paredes, Gayatri Spivak, Emma Haddad, Elizabeth Jelin and Margareth Rago.
