Nesta pesquisa são analisadas as transformações das representações da transfeminilidade em telenovelas brasileiras, partindo da análise das personagens Marcos Paulo (O Sétimo Guardião, 2018/2019), Britney (A Dona do Pedaço, 2019) e Michelly (Bom Sucesso, 2019/2020). O trabalho enfoca a construção destas transfeminilidades a partir de novos pressupostos, em um outro tempo, marcado pela ascendência da militância de corpos transgênero. A transgeneridade guarda um histórico de representações aviltantes, estereotipadas e abomináveis, esvaziadas de humanidade, grotescamente compostas e tradicionalmente interpretadas por homens cis, de modo caricato e moldado na forja da estereotipagem recorrente. Acompanhando as tendências da mídia internacional, em especial a estadunidense, e forçada pela pressão do ativismo LGBTQIAP+, a ficção seriada nacional se relaciona com a modificação deste histórico, com a escalação, em, 2018, de três atrizes trans para interpretarem as personagens citadas acima. Sob a luz dos estudos feministas e de gênero, da literatura dedicada às telenovelas e às representações sociais e amparado na metodologia da etnografia em tela, foram estabelecidos marcadores de análise posteriormente cotejados com as cenas ficcionais. Um percurso de análise responsável por apontar que o debate a respeito da transfeminilidade nas produções da grande mídia não se encerra com a escalação do elenco. O curso da pesquisa indicou que pessoas trans podem corporificar personagens que ainda se apoiam em estereótipos e perspectivas transfóbicas, alimentando e dando sobrevida a longevos padrões grotescos. Ao mesmo tempo, as representações destas novas personagens têm o potencial de colaborar com a desmistificação da transexualidade diante da sociedade, promovendo a identificação do público com a temática e buscando, por meio da linguagem e dos elementos narrativos próprios da telenovela, educar a audiência para a tolerância e o respeito.

In this research, the transformations of representations of transfemininity in Brazilian telenovelas are analyzes, based on the analysis of characters Marcos Paulo (O Sétimo Guardião, 2018/2019), Britney (A Dona do Pedaço, 2019) and Michelly (Bom Sucesso, 2019/2020). The work focuses on the construction of these transfemininities from new assumptions, in another time, marked by the ascendancy of the militancy of transgender bodies. The transsexuality has a history of demeaning, stereotyped and abominable representations, emptied oh humanity, grotesquely composed and traditionally interpreted by cis men, in a caricatured way and molded in the forge of recurrent stereotyping. Following the trends of the international media, especially in the United States, and forced by the pressure of LGBTQIAP+ activism, national serial fiction relates to modification of this history, with the casting, in 2018, of three trans actress to play the characters mentioned above. In the light of feminist and gender studies, the literature dedicated to telenovelas and social representations and supported by the methodology of ethnography on screen, analysis markers were established later compared with the fictional scenes. A course of analysis responsible for pointing out that the debate about transfemininity in mainstream media productions does not end with the casting of the cast. The course of research has indicated that trans people can embody characters that still rely on transphobic stereotypes and perspectives, feeding and surviving long-lived grotesque patterns. At the same time, the representations of these new characters have the potential to collaborate with the demystification of transsexuality before society, promoting the publics identification with the theme and seeking, through the language and narrative elements typical of the telenovela, to educate the audience to tolerance and respect.
