Abstract in English
This research investigated the reverberation of active teaching-learning methodologies on communicational interactions between teachers and students in the classroom and adopted Cieja Campo Limpo, a school for young people and adults in the municipal network of São Paulo, as its empirical object. From the perspective of the Communication and Education interface, we seek to understand, through systematic field observation and semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, the relationship between the student's active participation in the teaching-learning process and the occurrence of monologues and dialogues. The sample for this study is made up of students from three groups of cycle II at Cieja Campo Limpo and four teachers from the areas of knowledge of Natural Sciences, Human Sciences and Languages and Codes. In the 2000s, the school went through a pedagogical reform, inspired by Paulo Freire's Youth and Adult Literacy Movement (MOVA), and, since then, it has employed investigative methodology considered in our study to be an active methodology , developed by coordinators and teachers at Cieja Campo Limpo based on demands raised in councils held with students. As a result of this work, we present the analysis of communication flows in the classroom and the roles played by teachers and students; the teachers' and students' perceptions about the dynamics of communication in the school environment and the particularities of that school that seem to influence the dialogical exchanges between educational actors.
