Esta pesquisa se centra em estruturas audiovisuais consumadas a partir de formas transeuntes e que se apresentam no imbricamento de diferentes códigos. Transeuntes porque são impermanentes, sempre transitando em direção a novas configurações e transformando-se (no conteúdo e estética) pelo encontro e constante movimentação. Por sua vez, tais estruturas representam, na compreensão do estudo, modos ascendentes entre produtos culturais, bem como sintetizam estágios de uma experiência sócio-cultural fragmentária que veio legada da modernidade. Estas formas de interação de linguagens voltam-se a uma espécie de resgate sensorial e, ao abrigarem o fragmento e a efemeridade (da cultura e das formas), assumem a transição, o incerto, o devir, como procedimento existencial, como valor constituinte. A estas estruturas a tese chama de audiovisualidades mestiças, pois apresentam alta permeabilidade, confluência de elementos variados, alternância de funcionalidades, refração e ressonância de sentidos. Parte-se da hipótese de que elas podem ser consideradas mestiças, pois constituem-se de uma complexa rede de organização e interação entre textos que se interpenetram, traduzem-se, ampliam-se e se ressignificam em constante movimento; e da compreensão de que habitam a fronteira, sendo espaços de tradução ininterrupta, terreno de fertilização de sentidos e enriquecimento da cultura. No exercício analítico empreendido, a tese se delineia a partir de três frentes de problematização e compreensão. A primeira, explorada no capítulo Um pensamento mestiço para audiovisualidades, constrói uma aproximação entre manifestações artístico-culturais desta natureza e o conceito da Mestiçagem trazido à pesquisa da Antropologia Cultural em entrecruzamentos com campos da História da Cultura, Estética, Semiótica da Cultura, entre outros com fins de definir as características que alocam estas estruturas dentro de tal compreensão. Na segunda, explorada no capítulo Audiovisualidades como textos da cultura, as audiovisualidades selecionadas para análise são observadas enquanto estruturas dialógicas, textos altamente organizados, capazes de assumirem papel de interlocução inteligente e autônoma no espaço social. Por fim, na terceira, explorada no capítulo Ente fronteiriço: a audiovisualidade mestiça a partir da perspectiva de funcionamento da fronteira, a tese trabalha estas estruturas como habitantes de um espaço permissivo, em que as trocas potencializam sentidos e fazem avançar linhas de circunscrição, bem como transformam e enriquecem os textos que lhe compõe. Esta investigação tem, também, intenção de abrir campo para se pensar a ascensão e possibilidades de formas cada vez mais mestiças, que pensam e configuram-se maneiras vanguardistas de articular a experiência sensível em tempos de multiplicidade, impermanência e diversidade de movimentos comunicacionais.

This research focuses on audiovisual structures that are accomplished based on transient forms and that present themselves in the interweaving of different codes. They are transient because they are impermanent, always transiting towards new configurations and transforming themselves (in content and esthetics) through the encounter and the constant moving. In turn, such structures represent, in the understanding of this study, ascendent modes between cultural products, as well as synthetize stages of a fragmented socio-cultural experience that came as a legacy of modernity. These forms of language interactions turn to some kind of sensorial rescue and, in harboring the fragment and the ephemerality (of culture and forms), they take on the transition, the uncertainty, the becoming, as an existential procedure, as constituent value. This thesis calls these structures mestizo audiovisualities, for they present high permeability, confluence of various elements, alternation of functionalities, refraction and resonance of senses. We start from the hypothesis that they can be considered mestizo because they consist of a complex web of organization and interaction between texts that interpenetrate, translate, broaden, and re-signify one another in constant movement; and from the understanding that they inhabit the border as they represent spaces of uninterrupted translation, a land of fertilization of meaning and cultural enrichment. In the analytical exercise undertaken, the thesis is outlined from three fronts of questioning and understanding. The first one, which is explored in the chapter A mestizo thought on audiovisualities, builds an approximation between the artistic-cultural manifestations of this nature and the concept of Mestizage researched by the Cultural Anthropology intersecting with the fields of Cultural History, Esthetics and Cultural Semiotics among others with the purpose of defining the characteristics that allocate these structures within such understanding. In the second one, explored in the chapter Audiovisualities as culture texts, the audiovisualities selected for analysis are observed while they are dialogic structures, highly organized texts, capable of assuming the role of intelligent and autonomous dialogue in the social space. Lastly, in the third, explored in the chapter Frontier being: the mestizo audiovisuality from the perspective of frontier functioning, the thesis analyzes these structures as being inhabitants of a permissive space, where the exchanges enhance the senses and push the division lines forward, as well as transform and enrich the texts that compose it. This research also aims to open a field that stimulates thought on the rise and possibilities of forms that are increasingly mestizo, that think and that organize themselves as avant-garde ways of articulating the signifying experience in times of multiplicity, impermanence and diversity of communicational movements.
