Abstract in English
This dissertation tries to identify and locate the permanence of fascist traits in the social body and media within the capitalist state. Taking into account that the main characteristic of fascism is the existence of a supposed enemy of the nation, the chosen section considers two totalities that are related to this idea: the punitive system and the mass media. The temporal focus analyzes both totalities until the first two decades of the 21st century, when social networks became popular. At first, the concept of fascism is defined and analyzed within the studied totalities, as well as the origins of behaviors that approach this ideology. The objective is to raise the reiterative aspects and determinations that guarantee the permanence of fascism. In a second moment, the focus is the consequences of these determinations in communications, with emphasis on social networks, in order to verify repetitive patterns in the social body inside and outside the internet. The methodology uses a bibliography from political science, communication and criminology to find the underlayed layers of the studied social relations. The objective is to break with an immediate vision of these relationships and discover the determinations that guarantee repetitive fascist behaviors on social networks.
