proposta da tese de doutorado "Poder e resistência em telerreportagens da Globo Minas (1973 - 1980) presentes no acervo do MIS BH" foi analisar a representação de eventos relacionados ao período militar a partir de reportagens televisivas realizadas pela Rede Globo Minas na capital do estado entre 1973 e 1980, material que se encontra sob a guarda do Museu da Imagem e do Som de Belo Horizonte (MIS BH). A análise buscou mostrar nuances da cobertura feita pela emissora global, indicando registros que foram escolhidos e detalhes que foram silenciados na edição final das reportagens exibidas pela TV e que trazem indícios da postura editorial da Globo Minas diante dos eventos de apoio e contestação às ações do regime militar em Belo Horizonte. Nossa hipótese era de que na cobertura dos ritos oficiais a emissora fomentava uma 'unanimidade imaginária' do governo militar na capital mineira, enquanto ao registrar as atividades de resistência ao regime, assumia uma postura conciliadora, atenuando ou omitindo da edição final das telerreportagens elementos que indicavam a ação repressiva do governo frente aos movimentos retratados. Analisando o conteúdo integral dos rolos de película, que é todo o material produzido durante o trabalho de rua, percebeu-se muitas vezes que as equipes de reportagem buscavam cobrir as várias nuances dos acontecimentos retratados, inclusive aquelas que revelavam as fragilidades do regime. No entanto, quando este material chegava até os editores, estes (na grande maioria das vezes) atuavam defendendo os interesses da empresa jornalística acima do interesse público: os registros feitos pelas equipes de reportagem eram 'formatados' de modo a diminuir as tensões entre o regime e aqueles que lhe faziam oposição. Após a verificação do conjunto de imagens de cada rolo, perceber o que foi selecionado e o que foi preterido pela edição nos forneceu um importante indício do que os responsáveis pelo jornalismo da Globo Minas queriam mostrar e o que eles escolheram ocultar. A narrativa construída nas telerreportagens da Rede Globo Minas analisadas ao longo desta pesquisa confirma uma posição de alinhamento da emissora com os governos do período militar e a fuga do embate direto com o regime. São escolhas editoriais como essas que revelam a posição assumida pela Rede Globo durante a ditadura militar, ora em apoio ao regime, ora neutra. Forjando uma posição imparcial, com uma pretensa produção 'isenta' da notícia, acabaram por contribuir com a naturalização do estado de exceção.

The proposal of the thesis "Power and resistance in Globo Minas telereports (1973 - 1980) present in the MIS BH collection" was to analyze the representation of events related to the military period based on television reports carried out by Rede Globo Minas in the capital of state between 1973 and 1980, material that is under the custody of the Museu da Imagem e do Som de Belo Horizonte (MIS BH). The analysis sought to show nuances of the coverage made by the Global broadcaster, indicating records that were chosen and details that were silenced in the final edition of the reports shown on TV and that bring evidence of Globo Minas' editorial posture in the face of events supporting and contesting the actions of the military regime in Belo Horizonte. Our hypothesis was that in the coverage of official rites, the station fostered an 'imaginary unanimity' of the military government in the capital of Minas Gerais, while recording the activities of resistance to the regime, it assumed a conciliatory posture, attenuating or omitting from the final edition of the telereports elements that indicated the government's repressive action against the movements portrayed. Analyzing the full content of the film reels, which is all the material produced during the street work, it was often noticed that the reporting teams sought to cover the various nuances of the events portrayed, including those that revealed the regime's weaknesses. However, when this material reached the editors, they (most of the time) acted defending the interests of the journalistic company above the public interest: the records made by the reporting teams were 'formatted' in order to reduce the tensions between the regime and those who opposed it. After checking the set of images of each roll, realizing what was selected and what was left out by the edition provided us with an important indication of what those responsible for journalism at Globo Minas wanted to show and what they chose to hide. The narrative constructed in Rede Globo Minas telereports analyzed throughout this research confirms the station's position of alignment with the governments of the military period and the avoidance of direct confrontation with the regime. Editorial choices like these reveal the position taken by Rede Globo during the military dictatorship, sometimes in support of the regime, sometimes 'neutral'. Pretending an impartial position, with a supposedly 'exempt' production of the news, they ended up contributing to the naturalization of the state of exception.
