Abstract in English
This research aims to understand the specificities of screenwriting for virtual reality, taking into account its points of approximation and departure from writing for traditional cinema and possible intersections with other languages or devices. For this, I initially propose a discussion of essential terms for virtual reality, such as immersion, presence and interactivity, among others. Then, I use bibliographical research on virtual reality, cinema and cinematographic screenwriting, generating a reflection especially on topics such as time, space, structure and point of view. The theoretical discussion lays the foundations for an analysis of the narrative construction in the virtual reality short film A Linha (LAGANARO, 2019), an important milestone in Brazils national production. Based on this analysis and in conjunction with an interview with the narrative designer of the piece, I seek to stress the process and the final work, having as an axis the narrative elements present in the writing of the screenplay.
