Abstract in English
This research is intended to be an analysis of indigenous cinema made by Zezinho Yube, a Huni Kui filmmaker formed by the Vídeo nas Aldeias project. We will contextualize his life trajectory in the audiovisual sector and how it is linked to the construction of an indigenous cinema in Brazil, passing briefly through his filmography to then focus more attention on the films Ma Ê Dami Xina - I've Already Become an Image (2008) and Kene Yuxi - The Twists of Kene (2010). Based on the concept of culture by Manuela Carneiro da Cunha (2009), we will investigate how the cultural elements of the Huni Kui people appear on stage, and how elements such as archive images, videos, interviews and cosmology are used by the director to construct the filmic narrative. Zezinho builds a cinema from mediation, being a translator of his people with those who are not part of this community, inserting us through audiovisual in a particular universe, created from the relationship between those who film and those who are filmed.
