Esta pesquisa consiste em um estudo sobre as imagens fotográficas no contexto atual pela perspectiva da comunicação. Por que fotografamos tanto? Este é um questionamento que surge do fato da imagem fotográfica estar no centro das atividades sociais. A hipótese seria de que o hábito de fotografar é decorrente de um gesto fotográfico que se configura de modo circular observamos, produzimos e tornamos a observar as imagens fotográficas, e que essa circularidade é composta por três bases que se justapõem: percepção, memória e comunicação. Metodologicamente, optamos por uma observação dinâmica do fazer fotográfico, a partir de caminhadas fotográficas, e os resultados dessa observação foram apresentados sob a forma de um diário de campo, com um viés antropológico, visando apoiar a construção teórica para a pensar a fotografia junto à comunicação. Nosso fundamento teórico encontra-se, principalmente, nos conceitos de percepção e memória, em Henri Bergson e Aby Warburg, e teorias que entendem a comunicação como efeito e expressão de um campo do sensível, tal como propõem Yves Winkin e Ciro Marcondes Filho. Dentro desse espectro, as teorias da fotografia mobilizam conceitos também balizados pela memória, percepção e comunicação, tais como a aura comentada por Walter Benjamin, e o punctum, visto pelo prisma do satori, proposto por Roland Barthes. Todas essas teorias reverberam aproximações com conceitos orientais, e demonstraram possuir como ponto em comum o vazio um estado de plenitude.

This research consists of a study on photographic images in the current context from the perspective of communication. Why do we photograph so much? This is a question that arises from the fact that the photographic image is at the center of social activities. The hypothesis would be that the habit of photographing results from a photographic gesture that is configured in a circular way we observe, produce and re-observe photographic images, and that this circularity is composed of three bases that are juxtaposed: perception, memory and communication. Methodologically, we opted for a dynamic observation of photographic work, based on photographic walks, and the results of this observation were presented in the form of a field diary, with an anthropological bias, aiming to support the theoretical construction to think about photography together with the Communication. Our theoretical foundation is found mainly in the concepts of perception and memory, in Henri Bergson and Aby Warburg, and theories that understand communication as an effect and expression of a field of the sensible, as proposed by Yves Winkin and Ciro Marcondes Filho. Within this spectrum, theories of photography mobilize concepts also marked by memory, perception and communication, such as the aura commented by Walter Benjamin, and the punctum, seen through the prism of satori, proposed by Roland Barthes. All these theories reverberate approximations with eastern concepts, and have been shown to have emptiness as a common point a state of fullness.
