Abstract in English
This work is dedicated to the analysis and subsequent comparison of the films Cabezas Cortadas (1970) and The Legend of Suram Fortress (1985), to draw thematic and formal affinities between their respective directors, Glauber Rocha (1939-1981) and Serguei Paradjanov (1924-1990). Starting from an authorial perspective, the Introduction draws a broad panorama that include the filmmakers activities in the 1960s, already paying attention to the similarities between them, both in style and career; the films are then presented, highlighting their reception in order to identify their main formal points; the following chapters will be dedicated to the analysis of said formal points: one chapter to the study of the narrative programs of each film, highlighting the relation established by the filmmakers between the images; and one chapter dedicated to the study of the plastic and figurative stylization that characterizes both films, focusing on the visual aspects, work with the actors and sound-image relation. It concludes with the comparison between the formal programs of the two films, opening another perspective, inserting Glauber and Paradjanov into a constellation of filmmakers that highlights their affinities.
