Abstract in English
When it comes to cultural accessibility for people with disabilities in visual arts exhibitions, we find the same paths taken by most institutions. Usually, these are measures that favor physical and communicational access to information. Other dimensions, which involve a deeper/more intimate enjoyment of art, are often disregarded. Given this scenario, this dissertation invests in the understanding of what it is like to have an aesthetic experience with art and its relevance when it comes to cultural accessibility with blind and low vision people. The research understands that the search for new access strategies is already taking place, and mediation and educational sectors, despite encountering barriers, present themselves as possible paths to an effective integration of the different in art spaces.
