Abstract in English
This research investigates a teaching initiation experience within the course of Visual Arts Teaching at the School of Communication and Arts (ECA) at the University of São Paulo (USP) which took place in 2013. In the following two years, the experience developed into the implementation of an arts program offered to children after the regular period of classes and related to the Ateliê Nossa Casa project, a university extension program which reflects non-formal /non-school Art Teaching and which enables the supervised internships for students- a mandatory requirement for the undergraduation program. More specifically, it deals with the Art Teaching Practice for children from 6 to 12 years old and considers both a crosscurricular and the student-teacher perspectives. It gives special emphasis on the knowledge resulting from the artistic-pedagogical experience and their meanings for the self-constitution of the art teacher/educator, with the aid of the complexity paradigm and reflective processes, considering the concept of experience according to John Dewey. Thus, it intends to offer contributions to the debate on the pre-service education of the art education professionals in formal and non-formal education, inside and outside the school environment.
