Esta dissertação apresenta o trabalho realizado pela pesquisadora utilizando os contos de tradição oral em processos de aprendizagem ao longo de 20 anos de prática como arte-educadora. A investigação tem como foco a relação entre aprendizagem e contos de tradição oral e considera a hipótese de que a vivência com tais contos aciona um caminho de aprendizagem que outras intervenções não fazem, exercendo significativo papel no processo educativo. Como uma das fontes de inspiração, o presente estudo traz uma síntese da abordagem teórico-poética proposta por Regina Machado para a formação de professores de Artes, e a partir daí narra três experiências: o uso dos contos de tradição oral na alfabetização de crianças; a formação de voluntárias contadoras de histórias; e a formação continuada de docentes de áreas não diretamente ligadas à Arte. Para isso, utiliza fotografias, relatórios, planejamentos, trechos de diário de bordo e textos reflexivos coletados ao longo do percurso, bem como questionários respondidos por alguns profissionais que participaram dos processos formativos citados na pesquisa. O propósito do trabalho é revelar as contribuições da arte de contar histórias para práticas educativas em diferentes contextos, no sentido da ampliação do olhar de educadores para o uso específico de contos como ferramentas de mobilização da aprendizagem.

This dissertation presents the work done by the researcher using tales of oral tradition in learning processes throughout twenty years of her practice as an art educator. The research focuses on the interrogation of the relationship between learning and oral tradition tales and considers the hypothesis that the experience of contact with such tales triggers a learning path that other interventions do not trigger, playing a significant role in the educational process. As one of its sources of inspiration, the research shows a synthesis of the theoretic-poetic approach for the formation of Art teachers proposed by Regina Machado and, on this basis, it narrates three experiences: the use of oral tradition tales in the literacy of children; the formation of storytelling volunteers; and, the continued formation of teachers in areas that are not directly related to Art. To support her work, the author uses photographs, reports, planning, logbook passages, and reflective texts collected along the way, as well as questionnaires answered by some professionals who participated in the formative processes cited in the survey. The purpose of the work is to reveal the contributions of the art of telling stories to educational practices in different contexts, in the sense of broadening the view of educators for the specific use of tales as tools for mobilizing learning.
