Arte Relacional Hiperconectada: Individualismo e solidão na cultura digital
Keywords in Portuguese

estética relacional
rede social

Abstract in English
Digital culture imposes a socialization based on hyperconnectivity and hypercommunication. Therefore, we become ubiquitous through digital networks, accessible through the mobile devices we carry around our bodies. However, these devices and their applications lead us to individualism, pushing us to reinvent ourselves in order to remain interesting to others. As a result, the relationships built can be seen as tools to gain visibility on the network. The liquidity of these experiences, potentiated by the commodification of identities and affections, can increase the feeling of loneliness. In this context, this art research developed aimed to problematize the contemporary paradox of hyperconnected individualism and loneliness, performing relational aesthetic experiments on Instagram. For this purpose, the @l1nk_se account was created to disseminate short videos, called Reels, capable of instigating public and private conversations with users of this social network. By establishing momentary relationships, the work questioned people's relationships with themselves and others who are significantly affected by the ubiquity of technology, especially digital social media.
