Abstract in English
This research project, Strange Body, approaches the issues pertinent to my creative process perception and production. Through practical and theorical investigations, dealing with the imagery related to the body, I study aspects I consider important to the understanding of the body as something in constant movement. This conception of the body is related, both visual and conceptually, with its material stratuns, its physical, carnal and organic reality, and has been detached from idealistic models. In the approaching we have adoted, we highlighted texts of authors like Georges Bataille, in philosophy, Hilda Hilst, in literature, and also the writings of brazilian artist Lygia Clark. Along this research, photography and video were chosen as the medium used to present it as a convulsive matery, disturbing its limits.
