Abstract in English
This research aims to reflect on the processes that were developed during the years 2020/2021, together with Comunicantus Chamber Choir, from ECA/USP. The processes concern the elaboration of choral interpretative conceptions in a virtual environment, due to the isolation imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Having as its main musical material Ernst Mahles suite Carimbó, the research uses the Silva Ramos Reference for the Analysis of Choral Works. Scores, teaching materials authored by the composer himself, and different academic research were also part of the theoretical basis. Presented in 2 volumes, the first being divided in 3 chapters, this research initially provides analysis of different aspects of the composer's work. In the intermediate chapter, there is a discussion about the equipment and procedures which are necessary for the development of choral music production in a virtual environment. In the last chapter, we explain how the virtual projects carried out by us along with Comunicantus Chamber Choir were developed, and how they became responsible for establishing the processes described in the previous chapter. We also present the materials produced during the research through links and quick response codes (QR codes). Furthermore, in this third chapter, we show the processes that led to the interpretative conceptions and their already finalized versions in audio and video. The second volume contains the appendix and the annexes of the research. We believe that this research represents the collective learning achieved by Comunicantus: Coral Laboratory during the pandemic. And we also imagine that the set of processes, reflections, data, and results may collaborate with the interpretative construction in a virtual environment of other conductors who may be interested.
