Identifica-se em renomadas trilhas musicais cinematográficas do século XX uma proeminente reiteração de elementos ou estruturas musicais, que apropriadamente definimos como musemas, as quais, vinculadas a certos movimentos imagéticos, arquétipos ou moods, ganharam significados paramusicais, e aparecem reiteradas no cinema sonoro, ao longo de décadas, em sentidos conotativos semelhantes. As características musicais destas recorrências, todavia, não são bem estabelecidas. Este trabalho propõe uma investigação sobre musemas reiterados em um recorte de trilhas musicais de gêneros cinematográficos específicos que contém o arquétipo do vilão, e identificá-los empregando um processo de análise musemática auxiliado por ferramentas computacionais, levantando-se a forma como estes materiais musicais foram utilizados e vinculados às imagens. Ao produzir um mapeamento de exemplos e análises da recorrência destes estereótipos musicais, rastreamos suas origens às coletâneas musicais do início do século XX. Os resultados pretendem fornecer um material de apoio a profissionais e pesquisadores da música no audiovisual para o estudo e para a criação da narrativa sonora dentro do cinema ocidental.

One can identify in renowned cinematographic musical scores of the 20th century a prominent reiteration of musical elements or structures, which we freely define as musemes, which, linked to certain imagetic movements, archetypes, or moods, gain paramusical meanings, and appear reiterated in sound films, by over decades, in similar connotative senses. The musical characteristics of these recurrences, however, are not well established. This work proposes an investigation about reiterated musemes in a cut of musical tracks of specific cinematographic genres that contain the archetype of the villain, and to identify them using a process of musematic analysis aided by computational tools, raising the way these musical materials were used and linked to the images. By producing a mapping of examples and analyzes of the recurrence of these musical stereotypes, we trace their origins to early 20th century music collections. The results intend to provide a support material for professionals and researchers of music in audiovisual, for the study and for the creation of the sound narrative within the western cinema.
