Abstract in English
This work aims to investigate the interpretative issues of drummer Toninho Pinheiro in his performance in the first album of the group Som/3, released in 1966. We present a biography with the origins and career of the musician, highlighting the period in which he was a member of the group Som/3. We reveal the stylistic matrices of samba in the drums, used by Pinheiro, having as theoretical basis the thesis of Leandro Barsalini and the ways of performing the drums in samba. We also reveal the drummer's swing, with a microstructural analysis, supported by the Theory of Audiotactile Music (TAM) initially developed by the Italian musicologist Vincenzo Caporaletti. Thus, we hope to contribute to the understanding of the interpretative issues of one of the pillars of the Brazilian drums.
