Title in Portuguese
Práticas de construção de um músico improvisador
Keywords in Portuguese
Improvisação musical
Música
Processo criativo

Abstract in English
This thesis is one of the results of a radically qualitative doctoral research in musical improvisation, carried out at the University of São Paulo. In the path of documenting, I run into topics such as subjectification, whiteness in music, construction of instruments and processes of recording and documenting musical improvisation. The format that includes sessions which can be read in any order points to non-linearity, common to improvisation, and to the website where all the sound and video examples will be made available. In this process of creation and documentation, we find influences of Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari, especially in regards to rizomes, lines of flight, repetition, serialization and (de)stratification. The notion of care of the self, as presented by Michel Foucault inspires the organization of practices adopted in this process and applied in the fields at USP, UFC, UECE, UFSB and UCSD, partially funded by the Fulbright program.
