Abstract in English
This work focuses on the comprehension of contemporary voice as a musical expression: its form, its meaning, and its historical origin. We intend to portrait it as an artistic reality of the vocal music in the 20th century, particularly since the 60s until nowadays. Since the voice is intimately connected to the body, which, by its turn, is related to a wide range of cultural aspects and transformations of its time, like morality, politics, philosophy, arts, and also the act of listening, therefore, it will be affected by the same changes occurred in the century - in terms of musical aesthetics, because the body and the listening will change as well. It is our goal to analyze these changes concerning the body, the listening and the voice, through a historical, philosophical and artistic approach, in order to comprehend the actual condition of contemporary voice, as an artistic reality expressed in many vocal works since the 60s.
