Esta pesquisa procura, em linhas gerais, investigar e compreender a concepção estética do traje de cena dos espetáculos Einstein on the beach (1976) e Shakespeare 's sonnets (2009) de Robert Wilson. Para alcançar estes objetivos apresentamos a trajetória de Wilson como encenador teatral e, em seguida, refletimos sobre as principais características do seu teatro, assim como suas principais influências artísticas e teatrais. O espetáculo Einstein on the beach (1976), um marco na carreira do encenador e no teatro como um todo, é o foco da segunda etapa, que discorre sobre: a importância da obra; seu processo de criação; itinerário e recepção da crítica; análise da imagem, texto, movimento e música. Começamos então a apresentação e estudo das personagens e seus trajes, de acordo com os atos da produção. Neste ponto elucidamos sobre: as principais características e possíveis referências utilizadas no "traje principal" da obra; maquiagem e cabelo; formas; materiais e cores; cotidiano e artificialidade. Na terceira fase, a pesquisa se debruça sobre o espetáculo Shakespeare 's sonnets (2009), esmiuçando seu contexto e elementos: trilha, personagens, cenário e iluminação, para além de suas particularidades e temas. Na sequência apresentamos e comentamos as personagens e seus trajes de maneira individual, para então, analisarmos aspectos gerais do figurino: forma; referências históricas; material e textura; maquiagem; gênero; cores.

This research seeks, in general, to investigate and understand the aesthetic conception of the stage costume in the works Einstein on the beach (1976) and Shakespeare's sonnets (2009) by Robert Wilson. To achieve these goals we present Wilson's path as a theater director and then we reflect on the main characteristics of his theater, as well as his main artistic and theatrical influences. The work Einstein on the beach (1976), a landmark in the director's career and in the theater as a whole, is the focus of the second stage, which discusses: its importance; its creative process; itinerary; critical reception; analysis of image, text, movement and music. We then started the presentation and study of the characters and their costumes, according to the acts of the production. At this point, we elucidate: the main characteristics and possible references used on the "main costume" of the work; makeup and hair; forms; materials and colors; everyday life and artificiality. In the third phase, the research focuses on the work Shakespeare's sonnets (2009), breaking down its context and elements: soundtrack, characters, sets and lighting, in addition to its particulars and themes. In the sequence, we present and comment on the characters and their costumes individually so that we can present other more general aspects of the costume: form; historical references; material and texture; make up; genre; colors.
