Study Group Body and Environment (GECA)
Abstract in English
The main objective of this thesis is to weave implications of(in) the bodyenvironment as an artisticpedagogical strategy in dance. The path of the curricular component Body and Environment undergraduation on Dance of the Federal University of Sergipe led to the sprouting of artistic works. Those showed dramaturgies involved in the awareness and engagement in(of) the context of the participating students. These results spurred the creation of the Study Group Body and Environment. Moreover, I understood that of acting and knowing happen on the same temporal scale. Thereafter I started to recognise those know-hows (fazeres-saberes) as the strategies that have been embodying (corpando) the qualitative thinking of this body. From this understanding emerges the idea of the text-tissue and, finally, the strategy of weaving letters to sew the links of artistic, academic, and pedagogical construction in this thesis. Therefore, authors such as Greiner (2005), Katz (2006; 2021), Vieira (2008), Fernandes (2008; 2018); Bastos (2017; 2021a), are sewn and embroidered as references for this research. This thesis thus points to the importance of art creation, especially intertwined in the artisticacademicpedagogical triad, to think about the public university and its engagement with the implications of (in) the bodyenvironment in its contexts.
