Este trabalho investiga as práticas espirituais e suas configurações cênicas na cultura do Antigo Egito. Não tem como objetivo a configuração de um modelo egípcio para o teatro, mas o resgate basilar do modo peculiar com que acontecia o Mistério. Com base nos estudos de Araújo (1974; 2000), Clark (2004), Cashford (2010), Carvalho (1997; 2013; 2017) e Driotton (1954a; 1954b; 1957), além das narrações de Heródoto (2016) e Plutarco (1996) analisamos a história de Osíris e a realização de um Festival anual, no qual o Mistério do deus era apresentado em praça pública, como uma possível manifestação do modo de vida e de arte do Egito Faraônico. Neste percurso, a questão da identidade social e cultural é delimitada a partir da Nova História Cultural (NHC), dialogando com diferentes linhas da egiptologia - como aquela, herdeira de um modelo europeu, iniciada no século XIX, como também a que defende que a cultura do Egito Antigo integra uma África negra e ancestral. Adentramos também na questão da consolidação de um modelo grego que se tornou hegemônico na tradição teatral euro-ocidental, apoiado em uma doutrina universalista e literária do teatro, a partir da Poética, de Aristóteles, com as contribuições de Dupont (2017) e expoentes da Filosofia Africana e Afro-diaspórica.

This work investigates spiritual practices and their scenic configurations in the culture of Ancient Egypt. It does not aim at the configuration of an Egyptian model for theatre, but at the basic rescue of the peculiar way in which the Mystery happened. Based on the studies of Araujo (1974; 2000), Clark (2004), Cashford (2010) Carvalho (1997; 2013; 2017) and Driotton (1954a; 1954b; 1957), besides the narrations of Herodotus (2016) and Plutarch (1996) we analyze the history of Osiris and the realization of an annual Festival, in which the Mystery of god was presented in a public square, as a possible manifestation of the way of life and art of Pharaonic Egypt. In this journey, the question of social and cultural identity is delimited from the New Cultural History (NHC), dialoguing with different lines of Egyptology - like the one, heir to a European model, started in the 19th century, as well as the one that defends that the culture of Ancient Egypt integrates a black and ancestral Africa. We also enter the question of consolidating a Greek model that has become hegemonic in the Euro-Western theatrical tradition, supported by a universalist and literary doctrine of theatre, based on Aristotles Poetics, with contributions from Dupont (2017) and exponents of African and Afro-Diaphorical Philosophy.
