A presente tese de doutorado pretende aprofundar a pesquisa iniciada pelo autor na dissertação de mestrado intitulada Música Corporal e Jogos Musicais Corporais: um estudo das práticas do grupo Barbatuques na educação musical do artista teatral. Referência em música corporal, o grupo possui uma sólida pesquisa artística e pedagógica - através de jogos e composições, propõe a utilização do corpo como instrumento musical, onde o aspecto lúdico é preponderante. Esta tese pretende inicialmente, investigar quais são os princípios artísticos e pedagógicos que regem a pesquisa de música corporal do Barbatuques, sob a ótica de seu fundador e diretor musical Fernando Barba, e de Stenio Mendes, pesquisador e alquimista musical cujo encontro e parceria com Barba foi de fundamental importância, não somente para a criação do grupo, mas também para o aprimoramento e consolidação desta linguagem ainda em expansão. Na sequência, será proposta uma reflexão entre estes princípios e o conceito solar e lunar, desenvolvido pelo autor. O segundo capítulo inicia apresentando, de modo resumido e em ordem cronológica, a trajetória artística do Barbatuques, através dos CDs e DVDs lançados, em paralelo com os diversos shows realizados no decorrer de seus quase trinta anos de existência, com o propósito de indicar alguns dos elementos musicais, pedagógicos e cênicos contidos em seus diversos espetáculos. Por fim, com o intuito de confirmar estes elementos, o show Barbatuquices, concebido e estreado em 2016, foi escolhido para ser aprofundado e esmiuçado, demostrando os possíveis diálogos entre cena e música, além de evidenciar os princípios de Barba e Stenio através do conceito solar e lunar. Com isso, o objetivo principal desta tese de doutorado é verificar como a encenação e elementos cênicos estão naturalmente presentes nas composições e nos jogos musicais corporais desenvolvidos pelo grupo na construção de seus espetáculos, propondo uma análise reflexiva sobre como a ação musical corporal também é constituída de importantes singularidades e pluralidades cênicas.

The present doctoral thesis intends to deepen the research initiated by the author in the master's thesis entitled Bodily Music and Corporal Musical Games: a study of the practices of the Barbatuques group in the musical education of the theatrical artist. A reference in body music, the group has solid artistic and pedagogical research - through games and compositions, it proposes the use of the body as a musical instrument, where the ludic aspect is predominant. This thesis initially intends to investigate what are the artistic and pedagogical principles that govern Barbatuques body music research, from the perspective of its founder and musical director Fernando Barba, and Stenio Mendes, researcher and musical alchemist whose meeting and partnership with Barba was of fundamental importance, not only for the creation of the group, but also in the improvement and consolidation of this still expanding language. Next, a reflection will be proposed between these principles and the solar and lunar concept, developed by the author. The second chapter begins by presenting, in a summarized way and in chronological order, the artistic trajectory of Barbatuques, through the CDs and DVDs released, in parallel with the various shows performed during its almost thirty years of existence, with the purpose of indicating some of the musical, pedagogical and scenic elements contained in its various shows. Finally, in order to confirm these elements, the Barbatuquices show, conceived and premiered in 2016, was chosen to be deepened and detailed, demonstrating the possible dialogues between scene and music, in addition to highlighting the principles of Barba and Stenio through the concept solar and lunar. With that, the main objective of this doctoral thesis is to verify how the staging and scenic elements are naturally present in the compositions and in the body musical games developed by the group in the construction of their shows, proposing a reflective analysis on how the body musical action is also constituted of important singularities and scenic pluralities.
