Abstract in Portuguese
Este é um texto escrito e reescrito. Relembrado e inventado.

Abstract in English
This is a text written and rewritten, recalling and invented. From yesterday and today. It contains multiple time-frames and diverse perspectives, but they all permeate the familiarity I built over my research years towards the work of the playwright Roberto Gomes (1892-1922), a figure often overlooked in academic literature despite his relevance as a symbolist playwright. Gomes guided my knowledge and feelings about love and theatrical art and, more than that, sparked my inquiries in search of new perspectives. The research was developed based on a close sight built over years of study, using my daily practice as a primary source. In dialogues with this ghost playwright, I investigate the stimuli and paths that made me an artist. Drawing on Merleau-Ponty's philosophy of perception and other philosophical concepts, I analyze the interaction between my theatrical creative process, daily routines, and worldview, spanning from childhood to the present. I map this mode of analysis and revisit the act of philosophizing to seek concepts that help me systematize my process of theatrical creation and performance both inside and outside rehearsal/classroom/research settings. I named this exploration "phenomenology of the state of the artist." The result of this journey is an approach called "Theater of Perception," which involves a pedagogy that practically and theoretically guides theatrical experiences, encouraging new perceptions of personal and independent discoveries.
