Estando o Brasil às vésperas de seu ingresso no modelo financeiro aberto, os fatores que levam à aceitação/ rejeição do Open Banking ganham importância para potenciais usuários, governo, bancos e demais players envolvidos neste crescente ecossistema digital. Inserido em tal contexto, este estudo concebeu e testou um modelo cujos fatores explicam a intenção de adoção de Open Banking no Brasil a partir de uma abordagem multimétodo composta por três etapas. Inicialmente, foi realizada uma revisão de literatura para a identificação de construtos já apresentados em estudos anteriores como influenciadores da adoção de tecnologias financeiras digitais. A segunda etapa, qualitativa, apoiou-se em entrevistas com especialistas no assunto, procurando identificar novos construtos emergentes das percepções desses especialistas, a fim de conceber um modelo de adoção específico para o Open Banking. A terceira etapa, quantitativa, conduziu um Survey com uma amostra nacional de 1.575 participantes e testou o modelo teórico proposto por meio de SEM. Os resultados mostram que o modelo proposto é bastante robusto, capaz de explicar 73,5% da variação da variável dependente Intenção de Uso. Além de preencher uma lacuna na literatura de Adoção de Inovações ao propor um modelo de adoção de Open Banking, esta pesquisa reafirma sua originalidade ao trazer à luz um construto inédito para esta literatura, o Empoderamento, principal preditor do modelo proposto.

With Brazil on the eve of its entry into the open financial model, the factors that lead to the acceptance / rejection of Open Banking gain potential for users, government, banks and other actors involved in this growing digital ecosystem. Inserted in such a context, this study conceived and tested a specific model explain the intention of adopting Open Banking in Brazil, from a multi-method approach composed of three stages. Initially, a literature review was carried out to identify constructs already disclosed in previous studies as influencing the adoption of financial technologies. The second stage, qualitative, was based on appointing with specialists on the subject, seeking to identify new constructs emerging from expert perceptions, in order to design a specific adoption model for Open Banking. The third stage, quantitative, conducted a Survey with a national sample of 1,575 participants and tested the theoretical model proposed through SEM. The results show that the proposed model is quite robust, capable of explaining 73.5% of the variation of the dependent variable Intention to use. In addition to filling a gap in the Innovation Adoption literature, by proposing an Open Banking adoption model, this research reaffirms its originality by bringing to light an unprecedented construct for this literature, Empowerment, the main predictor of the proposed model.
