Resultado de um estudo de caso com inspiração etnográfica das representações sociais em uma escola do ensino fundamental, a dissertação busca entender se composições do gênero Samba podem servir de instrumento pedagógico a docentes. Com base na pesquisa de campo, foi gerado um relato baseado em práticas etnográficas e, por meio de um questionário aplicado, foram colhidos dados que apontam para formas de como estudantes do ensino fundamental podem se relacionar com letras de Samba no ambiente escolar.

Result of a case study with ethnographic inspiration about social representations at elementary school, the dissertation focuses on understanding if Samba's lyrics can be used as pedagogical resource to teachers. From the field research, a report was generated based on ethnographic practices and data were collected trough the application of a questionnaire that points to ways in which elementary school students can engage with Samba lyrics in the school environment.
