Abstract in English
The research objective is to study the editor and publisher of the STP segment - Scientific, Technical and Professional, active in large publishing conglomerates. To understand the impact of the new scenario in everyday life and ways of doing this work, we combine the methodology of participant observation (in São Paulo unit of a multinational company) to qualitative techniques of field notebook and semistructured interviews. From the theoretical and methodological framework (a) the history of the book and publishing (of which Chartier, Damton and Bragança are the main references); (b) the ergology, multidisciplinary approach to studying work situations as unique activities in which the subject manifests itself in full, with Yves Schwartz as featured; and (e) the analysis of speech and language studies as "linguageira" practice (Souza e Silva, Faita and Nouroudine), we analyzed the data in order to understand not only the impact of technological change, the emergence of digital books and new modes daily production editor, but how it influences, manages and reframes these changes.
