O objetivo dessa tese é a constituição acervológica de trabalhos fotográficos com foco no noroeste paulista especificamente na cidade de São José do Rio Preto-SP de três fotógrafos: Edson Baffi, Jaime Colagiovanni e Toninho Cury. Para a realização desse acervo, foi realizada pesquisa bibliográfica, pesquisa de campo, entrevistas com a comunidade fotográfica local a fim de identificar, mensurar e poder, assim, qualificar um corpus de fotografia para preservação. Como resultado da pesquisa, chegamos a cerca de 100 nomes reincidentes entre atuais profissionais e fotógrafos falecidos dos quais, por consequentes reincidências de citação nas entrevistas e por sugestão da banca de qualificação, recortamos para os três profissionais acima citados. Esses resultados na mensuração, quantificação e qualificação resultaram no aprofundamento da pesquisa e entrevistas específicas a fim de, então, mensurar agora o portfólio fotográfico e profissional desses três recortes. Nesse ínterim, estabelecemos relações sobre a memória e o esquecimento a partir da bibliografia proposta para justificar essa pesquisa e proporcionar um debate sobre a relevância desse trabalho e da manutenção desses índices por ações específicas como esta por vezes cíclicas seja da memória imagética que retrata a passagem do tempo na região, seja das próprias imagens em si, algumas em estado de decomposição e de esquecimento.

The objective of this thesis is the collection of photographic works focused on the northwest of São Paulo specifically in the city of São José do Rio Preto-SP of three photographers: Edson Baffi, Jaime Colagiovanni and Toninho Cury. To carry out this collection, a bibliographic research, field research, interviews with the local photographic community was carried out in order to identify, measure and thus qualify a corpus of photography for preservation. As a result of the research we reached about 100 recurrent names among current professionals and deceased photographers, of which, by consequent recidivism of citation in the interviews and at the suggestion of the qualification bank, we cut to the three professionals mentioned above. These results in the measurement, quantification and qualification resulted in the deepening of the research and specific interviews in order to measure now the photographic and professional portfolio of these three clippings. In the meantime, we established relationships about memory and forgetfulness from the bibliography proposed to justify this research and provide a debate about the relevance of this work and the maintenance of these indices by specific actions such as this sometimes cyclical or the imagery memory that portrays the passage of time in the region, or the images themselves, some in a state of decomposition and forgetfulness.
