A comunicação científica vem se transformando nas últimas décadas por meio do uso de tecnologias da informação e comunicação, proporcionando um canal formal de avaliação e permitindo o acesso aos resultados de pesquisa, através de dados disponíveis na web em formato digital. O periódico científico passa a receber, avaliar e disponibilizar os artigos à comunidade científica a partir do uso de ferramentas digitais, tendo o autor a possibilidade de inserir as informações da publicação em seu currículo profissional. Nesse sentido, a presente pesquisa tem por objetivo coletar as informações de artigos científicos registradas no Currículo Lattes, visando compreender a dinâmica da ciência e contribuir com estudos sobre Big Data e análise da publicação de artigos científicos. Dessa forma, utiliza mecanismo institucional para acessar os dados contidos nos currículos dos pesquisadores brasileiros e faz o recorte, a partir dos dados coletados, para analisar a publicação de artigos científicos dos docentes da Universidade Federal de Rondônia (UNIR), visando compreender a existência de igualdade de gênero no padrão de publicação entre professoras e professores nos anos de 2015 a 2020. Além disso, apresenta que o cruzamento de dados do Currículo Lattes com outras fontes de dados semiestruturados podem ser armazenados num ambiente de dados massivos para permitir à Universidade identificar os resultados de pesquisas publicados pelos docentes e melhorar o registro da informação institucional de pesquisas realizadas. Portanto, o artigo científico constitui uma informação institucional que possui um valor informacional, assim como outras formas de publicação nas quais existe a avaliação por pares, tais como livros ou publicações online, cuja relevância dentro da estrutura da universidade ultrapassa os aspectos inerentes à área do conhecimento na qual a pesquisa foi desenvolvida e integra a essência da Universidade em fazer ciência.

Scientific communication has been transforming in recent decades through the use of information and communication technologies, enabling a formal evaluation and providing access to research results, through data available on the web in digital format. The scientific journal receives, evaluates and provides articles to the scientific community through the use of digital tools, then the author can insert the publication information in his/her professional curriculum. The aim of this research is to collect information from scientific articles produced and registered in the Curriculum Lattes, to comprehend the dynamics of science and contribute with studies on Big Data and analysis of the publication of scientific articles. It uses an institutional mechanism to access the data contained in the curricula of Brazilian researchers and selects, from the collected data, an analysis of the publication of scientific articles registered by professors of Universidade Federal de Rondônia (UNIR), to understand about the existence of gender equality in the publication pattern between male and female professors during the years of 2015 to 2020. Furthermore, it presents that data crossing of Curriculum Lattes with other semistructured data sources can be stored in a massive data environment, so the University can identify research results that were published by its professors and improve the institutional information record of their developed research. Therefore, the scientific article is a kind of institutional information that has an informational value, as well as other forms of publication in which the evaluation is made by peers, such as books or online publications, whose relevance within the structure of the university exceeds the aspects inherent to the field of knowledge in which the research was developed and integrates the essence of the University in doing science
