A avaliação clínica em Motricidade Orofacial é de extrema importância para o processo de diagnóstico dos distúrbios miofuncionais orofaciais. Dentre os instrumentos clínicos comumente utilizados, o Protocolo de Avaliação Miofuncional Orofacial MBGR avalia os aspectos morfológicos e funcionais do sistema estomatognático. O Protocolo MBGR não apresenta instruções referentes à coleta e à análise dos seus dados; estas instruções, entretanto, possibilitariam padronizar a aplicação do instrumento clínico e a análise dos seus resultados. Sendo assim, este estudo teve como objetivo ampliar o Manual de Aplicação do Protocolo MBGR, incluindo informações relacionadas à análise e à interpretação dos seus dados; e validar o conteúdo e as imagens (estáticas e dinâmicas) do manual. Para o processo de ampliação, uma revisão integrativa da literatura foi realizada com buscas nas bases de dados PubMed, Web of Science, Science Direct, Lilacs, Medline, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde e Scielo; também foram consultados livros, anais de congressos, dissertações e teses na área de Motricidade Orofacial. Ao todo, foram selecionados 12 artigos e dois livros que descrevem o porquê avaliar e como analisar e interpretar os aspectos e as funções orofaciais abordados no Protocolo MBGR. O conteúdo expandido do manual foi avaliado por uma banca de especialistas composta por quatro fonoaudiólogos com especialização em Motricidade Orofacial. Duas rodadas de avaliação foram realizadas, tanto para o conteúdo descritivo do manual como para as imagens estáticas e dinâmicas. A partir destas avaliações, foram calculadas a porcentagem de concordância entre os especialistas e o Índice de Validade de Conteúdo do manual. Após a primeira rodada de avaliação, 12 itens do manual precisaram ser revisados e reajustados. Na segunda rodada, estes 12 itens foram, então, submetidos à novas avaliações; não foram necessárias revisões e reajustes, uma vez que todos os itens obtiveram percentual de concordância entre avaliadores igual a 100%. Este estudo possibilitou, portanto, ampliar e validar o conteúdo do Manual de Aplicação do Protocolo de Avaliação Miofuncional Orofacial MBGR, incluindo informações relacionadas à análise e à interpretação dos seus dados. O Manual de Aplicação do Protocolo MBGR será apresentado na forma de um e-book interativo.

Clinical assessment in Orofacial Myology is fundamental for diagnosing orofacial myofunctional disorders. Among the commonly used assessment tools, the MBGR Protocol assesses the morphological and functional aspects of the stomatognathic system. The MBGR Protocol does not include instructions on the collection and analysis of its data; however, these instructions would allow standardizing the administration of the assessment tool and the analysis of its results. Therefore, this study aimed to expand the Administration Manual for the MBGR Protocol, including information on the analysis and interpretation of its data; it also aimed to validate the descriptive content and images of the manual. For expanding the manual, we performed an integrative literature review with searches in PubMed, Web of Science, Science Direct, Lilacs, Medline, Virtual Health Library, and Scielo databases; books, conference proceedings, master's thesis, and doctoral dissertations in Orofacial Myology were also consulted. Then, we selected 12 articles and two books that describe why to assess and how to analyze and interpret the orofacial aspects and functions addressed in the MBGR Protocol. The expanded content of the manual was evaluated by a panel of experts of four speech-language pathologists with training in Orofacial Myology. Two rounds of evaluation were conducted, both for the descriptive content and the images of the manual. Based on these evaluations, we calculated the percentage of agreement among the experts and the Content Validity Index of the manual. After the first round of evaluation, 12 items needed to be revised and adjusted. In the second round, the experts reevaluated these 12 adjusted items; no further revisions or adjustments were necessary since all items obtained a percentage of agreement among the evaluators equal to 100%. Thus, this study allowed us to expand and validate the content of the Administration Manual for the MBGR Protocol, including information on the analysis and interpretation of its data. We will present the Administration Manual for the MBGR Protocol as an interactive e-book.
