Technological advances have contributed to the satisfaction and safety, decision making, effectiveness and efficiency of assistance in health and in the education context, offering resources with realistic and interactive environments. However, the number of adequate technological resources is still incipient and unavailable in the literature to attend the demands of vaccines. It is necessary to advance in studies from construction to the evaluation of the effectiveness of the use of digital technologies. The present study is to develop a prototype of a serious game, simulating a virtual vaccination room for high school nursing students. The specific objectives: Conduct an integrative review of the scientific literature on the use of digital technology as an education tool; Develop a simulated serious game prototype of a virtual vaccination room. Method: for the integrative literature review the PRISMA methodology was used about the of digital Technologies as an educational tool in teaching and learning about vaccines. The period was not delimited considering all publications with the Health Science Descriptors, respectively, education digital technologies and learning and, as a keyword, we chose to use the term game, found in the databases: PUBMED, CINAHL, LILACS and Scopus, through the search question: "Which digital education technologies on vaccination are they being developed for health professionals?", in Portuguese, English and Spanish. For the development of the game prototype, methodological research was carried out based on the game designer proposed by Schell and Novak. The phases followed for the construction of the game were the development of the Concept and Pre-production, covering the construction of the Game Design Document. Results: the search for an integrative review resulted in a total of 754 articles, five of which were nominated in LILACS, 79 in CINHAL, 311 in PUBMED and 359 in Scopus. 87 articles were excluded because they were duplicated between the databases and four duplicate articles in the same database were also excluded. After analyzing all articles, by reading the titles and abstracts of the remaining articles, they were categorized into six groups, taking into account the central objective of the article, which are: 1 - Updates, conferences, reports; 2 - Digital educational tools on vaccines aimed at the population, m-Health, strategies and public programs aimed at improving vaccine coverage; 3 - Articles on immunopreventable diseases, research on vaccine development, development of board game; 4 - Epidemiological surveillance, behavioral study in relation to vaccination, difficulty in accessing health services, ethnic and social barriers related to vaccination; 5 - Literature review and 6 - Communication and Information Technology, focused on the health professional's learning about the vaccine theme. For the next phase, only the 27 articles of category 6 were considered potentially relevant and selected for reading in full, of which 22 articles were excluded in this phase, with four articles being unavailable for full reading, and 18 articles addressing topics outside the research objective. The remaining five articles were included in the review process, with the addition of one more articles, selected through Google Scholar, thus totaling six articles for analysis. The result achieved by the integrative research showed that the technologies used for learning are positive, improving the student's understanding of the topic, in addition to increasing the student's motivation and interest. However, among all the articles analyzed, only six were aimed at students in the health field, demonstrating that there is little work on education digital Technologies aimed at teaching vaccines to professionals, especially considering their potential for learning. As a positive point, of the six articles analyzed, five articles used the government sources as a reference for educational material. Regarding the prototype, the GDD was developed, detailing the script, the artistic concept and the game play, supported by the references of the National Immunization Program. Final considerations: the prototype of a serious virtual vaccination room game was developed and it is hoped that it will support and finalize the construction of the game aimed at teaching-learning of nursing students, so that it can contribute to more dynamic future professionals prepared to work in the vaccination room, corresponding to the expectations that this theme contains.
